YESENIA CORNEJO - PRESIDENT / PRESIDENTE
Yesenia grew up here in Highland Park and attended Aldama from Kindergarten to fourth grade. She worked in the medical field and attended college for many years. Finally going into nursing school when her daughters were in grade and middle school. She has three grown daughters and five grandchildren. Yesenia was a room parent and school volunteer for her daughters from the time her girls started Kindergarten till they graduated high school. And has continued to do the same for her five grandchildren, four of whom attend Aldama. Caitlin 5th grade, Mila and Eli both in 2nd grade and Alex Kindergarten. Sophia 4th grade is at another school focused in art. Yesenia is passionate about the education, happiness and wellbeing of her kiddos. This is why she feels so strongly that being involved in PTA and a part of this beautiful school community is vital for all children.
Yesenia creció en Highland Park y atendió la escuela Aldama de Kindergarten hasta el cuarto grado. Trabajó en el campo de la medicina y asistió a la universidad durante muchos años. Finalmente ingresó a la escuela de enfermería cuando sus hijas estaban en la escuela primaria y secundaria. Tiene tres hijas mayores y cinco nietos. Yesenia fue madre de salón y voluntaria en la escuela de sus hijas desde que comenzaron el jardín de infantes hasta que se graduaron de la escuela secundaria. Y ha seguido haciendo lo mismo por sus cinco nietos, cuatro de los cuales asisten a Aldama. Caitlin de 5to grado, Mila y Eli ambas en 2do grado y Alex Kindergarten. Sophia 4to grado está en otra escuela enfocada en arte. Yesenia es una apasionada de la educación, la felicidad y el bienestar de sus hijos y nietos. Es por eso que siente firmemente que participar en la PTA y ser parte de esta hermosa comunidad escolar es vital para todos los niños.
WENDY ANNE ELLER - VICE PRESIDENT / VICEPRESIDENTA
Born and raised in Northeast LA, Wendy is the mama of a 4th grader in Aldama's dual immersion program. She earned her M.A. in Spanish linguistics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) after earning her B.A. in Spanish and linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) and her A.A. in Spanish from Pasadena City College (PCC). She currently teaches Spanish at PCC, manages a forensic psychologist's office, and volunteers at Aldama. She enjoys arts & crafts, dancing, singing, cooking, and traveling.
Originaria del noreste de Los Ángeles, Wendy es la mamá de un alumno de cuarto grado en el programa bilingüe de Aldama. Sacó su maestría en lingüística hispánica en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) después de sacar su licenciatura en español y lingüística en la Universidad de California, Berkeley, y su título técnico en español de Pasadena City College (PCC). Actualmente, enseña español en PCC, administra una oficina de psicología forense, y hace trabajo voluntario en Aldama. Le gusta bailar, cantar, cocinar, viajar y hacer arte y manualidades.
LAURA GUTIERREZ - PRINCIPAL / DIRECTORA
TODD BROTZE - TREASURER / TESORERO
Todd grew up in San Antonio, TX, majored in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, and moved to Los Angeles to be an actor. He and his spouse have two students at Aldama in UTK and 3rd grades. In addition to volunteering at school, Todd dabbles in web development, plays the occasional drum, and shops for lots of groceries. And he wants to remind you to turn in all your receipts with those expense reports.
Todd (Teo) creció en San Antonio, TX, se especializó en Ingeniería Mecánica en la Universidad Northwestern y se mudó a Los Ángeles para ser actor. Él y su esposa tienen dos estudiantes en Aldama en UTK y 3er grado. Además de ser voluntario en la escuela, Teo se aventura con desarrollo web, toca el tambor de vez en cuando y hace el mandado demasiado. Y quiere recordarles que entreguen todos los recibos con sus informes de gastos.
DANIS CYBULSKI-DARDÓN - PARLIAMENTARIAN / PARLAMENTARIA
Mrs. Cybulski-Dardón has been a part of the Aldama community for 18 years and is currently teaching 5th grade in the Dual Language program. She has a master’s degree from USC in Advanced Instruction with a focus on differing abilities and teacher leadership. Her mission is to inspire students to be curious, creative thinkers and life-long learners. Mrs. Cybulski-Dardón is also a proud parent of a second grader in Aldama’s dual language program. Go Hawks!
La Sra. Cybulski-Dardón ha formado parte de la comunidad de Aldama durante 18 años y actualmente enseña el 5º grado en el programa de lenguaje dual. Tiene una maestría de la USC en Instrucción Avanzada con un enfoque en habilidades diferentes y liderazgo de maestros. Su misión es inspirar a los estudiantes a ser curiosos, pensadores creativos y aprendices de por vida. Ella es una madre orgullosa de un estudiante de segundo grado en el programa de dos idiomas de Aldama también. ¡Vamos halcones!
